Topeka Office Supply was founded in 1968 by brothers Dick and Bill Huffman. The brothers had a passion for office supplies and decided to start their own business. They began by selling office supplies out of the back of their father’s truck. In 1984, they opened their first store on Shawnee Mission Parkway. Today, Topeka Office Supply has over 50 stores across Kansas and employs over 1,000 people.

Topeka Office Supply was founded in 1967 by Don Meyer. Mr. Meyer had previously operated a small office supply store in Liberal, Kansas. He saw a need for an office supply store in Topeka, and so he opened the first store on Douglas Avenue. The store quickly became successful, and in 1978, Mr. Meyer opened a second store on Shawnee Mission Parkway. In 1985, Mr. Meyer sold the stores to his son, Jeff Meyer. Jeff continued to operate the stores until 2003, when he sold them to their current owners, Andy and Barb Guevara.
Today, Topeka Office Supply operates three stores: two on Douglas Avenue and one on Shawnee Mission Parkway.

 

Mr. Meyer’s goal was to provide customers with quality products at reasonable prices. Over the years, Topeka Office Supply has remained committed to this principle by offering a wide variety of products and services. How does a customer visit the store in Topeka Ks?

A customer visits the store by driving in. They can park in the lot in front of the store or they can park at the back of the lot. Once they are parked they will have to walk to the front of the store. Once they are at the front of the store, they will see a red door with a white “OPEN” sign on it. They will go through the door and into a small hallway that leads to the main part of the store. The customer will see office supplies on both sides of the hallway. They will go down the hallway and into a room that has a desk in it with a computer on it and chairs around it. There is also a printer and a copy machine. The customer can sit in one of the chairs or they can use the computer to browse through office supplies.
